Preparing our students for the real world after they leave our school is one of our most important jobs.
High school students visit a variety of college campuses throughout their education. Recent visits have included:
- U of I
- Illinois Wesleyan
Students in their junior and senior years take dual credit classes at Elgin Community College. By the time students graduate, they have accumulated one to two semesters of college.
Classes help customize each child’s experience and have included: art, computer science, engineering and psychology.
Job shadow experiences have included physicians, engineers, journalists, and finance professionals.
This program helps to set up youth for success. Learn more by visiting their website.
Teachers work closely with students to coordinate internships in the arts and sciences. Students have completed research internships in psychology, teaching internships in physical education and language arts, and a fine arts internship with a local organization, The Young at Art.
