High School students participate in a rigorous curriculum and are given the opportunity to participate in many co-curricular experiences.
Saturday Morning Physics
The Einstein Academy is focused on STEM education and encourages students to participate in co-curricular activities like Saturday Morning Physics, a lecture series for students and scholars hosted by world-renowned physicists at Fermilab.
Students complete a formal science fair project every other year, designing an independent research project that aligns with Science Olympiad standards. Students develop autonomy and critical research skills while creatively exploring their own curiosities of the natural world. TEA students have advanced to compete at the regional science fair through the Illinois Junior Academy of Science.
Have you ever dreamed of winning Jeopardy and hearing the crowd erupt with excitement? The Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl challenges young students who are passionate about science and engineering to show off their talents in this academic competition.
Students face-off in a fast-paced, question-and-answer format, being tested on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, energy, and math. The winner of the academic portion of the Regional Science Bowl wins an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC to compete in the National Science Bowl.
Our students are encouraged to enter essay contests as they become available. We have had many students recognized in contests, such as The Daughters of the American Revolution, Barnes and Noble My Favorite Teacher Contest and the Leo & Antonia Gershanov Memorial Holocaust Arts and Writing Contest.
